DevFests are large, community-run events that can offer speaker sessions across product areas, all-day hack-a-thons, code labs, and more. Each GDG DevFest will be inspired by, and uniquely tailored to, the needs of the hosting developer community. 

Here, developers will be able to interact with Google engineers and local developers who work on the products and ask them questions.The engineers will also talk about the latest and greatest from Google, with best practices on how to improve the quality of web and mobile apps.

While no two events are exactly alike, each GDG DevFest will, at its core, be powered by a shared belief that when developers come together to exchange ideas, amazing things can happen.

Districts 1-3 on the first day and Districts 4-6 on the second day. Lone District of Bacolod may join on any day preferred.

The Happy Hour hackathon is a fun and informal event to learn Dart. Either one or (recommended) two days, the event starts with an introduction talk, hacking on team projects, and finishes with presentations. Projects are judged based on technical achievement, and the winners are presented with a "Golden Dart" trophy. Everyone leaves with stickers, stories, and swag.

Before we launch the first leg of the Google MapMaker Summit in Bacolod, join us for dinner and chit-chat!

 

For 48 hours, organizers and mentors will be on hand to assist developers during the app development process --- from conceptualization to completion.  Aside from producing brand-new apps locally, the primary aim of the Camp is to provide assistance to developers who are fairly new to Android applications development.

At the end of the event, we'll invite developers to demo their apps on YouTube or via Hangout.

 

Meetup/discussion with developers, students, and members of the academe from 4 different universities in the province.

Discussion on the community's concerns, including some planning for 2012 initiatives and activities.  LGUs presented mapping efforts, students presented Android apps.

 

Meetup with La Salle students on MapMaker and GTUG's efforts in mapping the Philippines, for the benefit of the Philippine Red Cross.
