Welcome to The Honolulu Google Technology User Group (HNL-GTUG).

A typical meeting format is registration and light dinner fare between 6:00 and 8:00pm. We invite our members that develop applications using Google technology to do brief demos of 5 minutes or less between 6:30 and 6:55pm. The main meeting starts with general announcements at 6:00pm. This is followed by a technical presentation and/or demonstration of one or more Google technologies from 6:15 to 7:00pm. The time between 7:00pm and 8:00pm is available for longer talks, extended Q&A and/or more informal networking before everyone heads home.

Our meetings will always be free and open to the general public. We will sometimes co-host a joint meeting with the Aloha.rb (Ruby User Group). We also have the following resources external to the group site:

Google Technology User Groups and Startup Weekend are joining forces to help developers and entrepreneurs become more successful! We know that during a Startup Weekend event there isn't a lot of time to learn new things. You come in with the tools you have in your belt, and you do the best you can with those. But sometimes those tools aren't enough, which is why we're running this pre-Startup Weekend technical bootcamp. This bootcamp is scheduled for the week prior to the next Honolulu Startup Weekend (April 27th).
