Chrome is two
Google Chrome Extensions
50 attendees
When we set out to build a browser, our only goal was to make something that would make using the web more useful and enjoyable. By now, Chrome is used by over 70 Million people and is growing rapidly, but is still under active development to help it reach more users. Along the way, we stumbled upon a series of lessons that have helped inform our design and development philosophy. I'll review those lessons, giving examples of things that worked well for us, as well as things that failed.Besides questions about the examples and lessons learned, you might want to discuss with him about Innovation in general and in browsers in particular: The Chrome team has been innovating fast, some of the great things you can now do within a browser: Chrome to Phone, to the Arcade Fire HTML5 experiment, to automatic web translation.

Second Meeting

Second GTUG Munich Meeting seemed to be born under a lucky star, otherwise i can't explain where we got 90 Registered Attendees and 75 that where actually there.
It was hot like hell and very cozy in the Google Cafeteria, the AC was refusing Service and H2O was dripping from the ceiling, but mood was good.
There was laughter, applause and discussion. We started at 7:30pm, because there where all ready so many people.
Damon (Kohler/Google) started with his 20% Project, Android Scripting Environment. After the last Session, Jens (Trapp/Google) about App Engine Java,
it was getting emptier and we discussed in smaller Groups.
Between the Session Tom (Steiner/Google) and me, well mostly Tom, raffled the swag that i received from Silicon Valley. Next time i hope we got more Shirt's and other stuff. I must admit i had missed most of the Sessions because i was twittering (@gtugmunich), writing things down (Links, Speaker, Slides) in the Dokuwiki (http://silberkind.de/dokuwiki/gtugmuc, German) and talking to friends. Mostly to Darren (Cooper/GTUG Frankfurt) about DevDusk (NerdWebmonday), GTUG Frankfurt and in General about being an Event Organiser and Family. Thx Darren, was cool to see you in Reallife once again.
At around 11:30pm the rest of the Attendees helped to bring back the Cafeteria to State Zero. Thanks for that. We had about 10 Boxes of empty Bottles (Beer, Cola, Ice tea) and all dishes where brought back to where they belonged. I'm sorry, but i forgot to take a picture of the Mountain of Dish Doom.
I would like to thank all Attendees, the GTUG Manager Group for Tips and Hints, Stephanie (Liu/Google) for the big pack of Swag, all the Attendees who i had to block, because we would have just busted the Cafeteria for their Understanding, Google especially the Markting guys (n Girls) for the food and for giving us the Cafeteria, again Google for supporting the Organisation namely Christine (Lauber/Google), Jens (Trapp/Google) and Thomas (Steiner/Google), O'Reilly for giving me some UserFriendly ComicBooks that made a very nice Giveaways, the DevDusk Frankfurt Crew who made the 250 Miles Trip to us, only to have a look at our GTUG and who drove me back to my House late at night, only to return to Frankfurt afterwards (you are the Greatest guys) and of course all the Speakers Damon, Markus, Wolfram and Jens.
And last i want to thank my wife who is letting me out of the house in the evenings just to do another Nerd Happening. I love you. P.S. We will do a rerun of the Evening with an additional Androidsession. I will tell you Date/Location as soon as I'm done planning it.
