Schedule:Pune GTUG event was held at MKSSS Cummins college of Engineering for Women, Karve Nagar, Pune on Jan 28, 2012 between 1.00 PM to 4.30 PMAttendance: The event was attended by 218, a mixed audeince of IT Professionals and Engineering, MCA, BCA Students. Ratio of the audience was 40% Professionals and 60% Student community.Publicity:We had published Press Releases in Sakal, one of the most influential Marathi Newspaper dailies in Pune that helped us get such a crowd.Content:Content was delivered by three speakers.Anupam Mangudkar: Google App EngineRavi Vyas: Why Android FirstBadrinath Kulkarni: Near Filed CommunicationRavi and Badrinath conducted the session over hangout whereas Anupam was present at the venue to deliver his content.Networking:After the event got over, many college students requested us to start Campus Specific GTUG Chapter. Sinhagad College and Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, DY Patil college of Engg are campuses who have agreed to initiate the process to start Campus Specific GTUGs.Audience:Special mention of 5 attendees who are visually challenged and working on google technology for last 1.5 years.We had audience traveling from as far as Kolhapur, Latur that are appx 200-250 Kms from Pune especially for this event.We met Mr Laxmikant who is conducting workshops in schools in Latur on Google Apps and how students and schools can make use of it.Future plans:Next two months, as Pune GTUG Manager I have decided to focus on opening Institute based GTUGs in prominent engg colleges in Pune. We have also attracted IT Professional's community that can provide content on Google technologies.Pizza Coke Party:The event ended with Pizza and Coke party.
