GTUG BITS-Pilani chapter is a group for the BITSians to use, learn, share and contribute to Google Technologies and in general to the world of Open Source.We conduct regular meet-ups to discuss and share ideas. The ultimate goal of this group is to encourage "Collaborative Computing" and "FOSS culture" in BITS-Pilani.

Not just GTUG, BITS-Pilani has been encouraging Google developer technologies in form of Android Mobile Computing Group (a research group dedicated to Android mobile app development) and various courses like the ones on Android and HTML5.

2012 Apr 10	Informal Meetup Android, Google App Engine, Google Chrome Extensions, Google Earth APIs 15 attendees more... This had 15 people attend the informal meetup where we helped out each other in our projects related to Google Developer Technologies.
2012 Feb 28	Hands-on session on Python Python 30 attendees more... This is a Hands-on session on Python taken by Sreeraj, SDET BITS-Pilani Instructor. It will have Sreeraj cover basics of python and move to complex aspects.
2012 Feb 17	Hands-on session on HTML5 HTML5 35 attendees more... GTUG-BITS Pilani is coming up with the first event for the semester, a Hands-on session on HTML5 by Raghavendra Tungaturthi, an SDET, BITS Pilani Instructor. One can find the agenda of the session attached.Interested students should bring their own laptops with extension boxes as well. One has to make sure that he has a latest browser installed and also have a text editor like Notepad++ preinstalled on his laptop. Ramakrishna Reddy will take up introduction to Go, basic types, interfaces, communication and concurrency in Go. All participants are requested to bring their laptops.
