We had pretty good interest in hacking the StreetView API.  This time we will again watch a Google IO presentation, and then start hacking. There has been interest in getting going with exploring APIs.  Top contender is working with google maps streetview API.  Plan is to watch the Google IO seminar on building custom streetview APIs, then roll up our sleeves and make a custom streetview.  Bring your own panorama images, or we will work with the walk into Code42 from the parking garage.

Google Apps at a Large Scale:MN's largest Google implementation(1)

Jeff Williams, University of Minnesota

Jeff is a memeber of the UofM's team managing the Google Apps implementation for the majority of the student body.  He will discuss  talk about Google Apps at the scale we use it at the U, the benefits and challenges, lessons learned, and the technicaldetails like APIs and mail transfer if people are interested (I think they will be, but if not I can skip some slides in this part).

Parking and Entrance for Code 42

Code 42 is located in the One Main building of Riverplace.  Typically the building is on lock-down after 6PM. I will requests that the elevators and a single entrance remain open for the meeting.

If you park in the Riverplace underground ramp, you can enter the building (in the Exposition Hall) and follow the signs to One Main.  The meters in the area now take credit cards.  There are other parking lots near St. Anthony Main.

Once you get into the One Main building, take the elevator to the 4th floor and you're now in the Code 42 office :)

Someone from Recursive Awesome will present on what it's like developing for Android. Ivan Stegic, of Ten7 will present about working with Google Fusion Tables (the new mapping data back end)

Meeting to meet other members and discuss Google technologies.  Also to talk about future meetings, places, topics, etc.

We will be having a meeting TOMORROW December 1, 2009 from 7-9PM at the Medicom Digital offices in downtown Minneapolis. 

We will be doing a roundtable discussion on Google Wave and everyone can demo what they have discovered with Wave and discuss potential uses of Wave technology.  This meeting will be an open discussion, but we will try to keep focused around the following key topics:

• What is Google Wave?
• What uses are there for Google Wave?
• What are the current strengths and weaknesses of the Google Wave?
• How does one develop for Wave?
• What has already been developed for Wave?

 Unfortunately, Medicom won’t be able to sponsor pizza this month, but there had been discussion about chipping in for pizza.  In order to judge pizza interest, I’ve added two types of tickets to the RSVP system for “w/ pizza and w/o pizza”.  If you want pizza, you will need to contribute $5 to cover pizza costs.
