2012 May 29	GTUG Meetup & Andro id Africa Challenge Review Android 48 attendees more... Africa Android Challenge Prize Giving Event. Developers will also have a chance to demo their applications and get feedback. MobiQube will be presenting its cross platform mobile app aggregator, which allows users access to mobile apps with local content. There will also be a prize giving ceremony for the winners of the first round of the Africa Android Challenge.For those seeking to get their hands on the latest versions of the free Development IDEs and SDKs for HTML5, PHP, JAVA, Android, Blackberry and Nokia, do come along with your laptops to download them.Where: CCHUB (6th Floor, 294 Herbert Macaulay Road).When: 4pm - 6pm on Tuesday May the 29th.See you there! DrupalCamp Lagos is a Drupal community event, bringing developers, themers, administrators and business people together for a day of professional development and fostering the Drupal community. The goal of DrupalCamp Lagos is to bring together the fun, smart, and open Drupal minds in the community. There will be a session by Aniedi Udo-Obong on Drupal/Google modules for AdSense, AdWords, Analytics, Maps etc. with a real-life scenario on how he helped put this all together for the Daily Times of Nigeria. Daily Times Nigeria will be represented & are looking to hire a few savvy young guns. Also in preparation for the upcoming Lagos GTUG hackathon (more details on this big event soon!) , there will also be a session on GIT - a Source Code Management tool used by software developers around the world for supporting collaborative software development, tracking and managing code changes and versioning of any project you build. You really should not miss this.

2011 Feb 3	Lagos GTUG Open House At University Of Lagos Google App Engine, Google Resources for Developers more... The Lagos Google Technology Group held its first open house at the Centre for Information Technology in the University of Lagos.This event was basically a forum that allowed those of us who are interested in Google technology to have some face time with Googlers and hear from them first hand in a semi formal environment.There were a total of 5 Googlers on hand and a total of more than 30 attendees which was pretty impressive considering that it was a work day.The event was fun filled and interactive with everyone eager to join and contribute.
