What is a Google I/O Extended event? Google I/O Extended are one-day events held globally with the goal of growing and scaling the developer community and driving adoption and awareness of Google developer products. The event will focus on live-streaming the the Google I/O keynote and possibly major sessions of Google I/O. You can personalize the event to also include local developer demos and other speaker sessions. Why host a Google I/O Extended event? Google I/O is a highly anticipated event and a major highlight for developers across our ecosystem. Google I/O Extended allows us to build on that momentum, scale our reach, and show local relevance. It also allows us to build relationships with Google developers and foster networking within the developer community. Even if you can't attend Google I/O in person, this is a way to still connect with other talented developers and watch the keynote and other major sessions live. Part viewing party and part community building, Google I/O Extended are free events focused on live-streaming parts of Google I/O. Depending on location, the event could also include local developer demos and other speaker sessions.
