G-Ghana is an annual Google event which engages Ghanaian business and developers to highlight entrepreneurial opportunities presented by the internet.
It will feature some of Google's best engineers, product managers, business managers and leadership speaking about Google's open web and mobile technologies. Attendees will have the chance to explore Google's latest industry tools through a combination of tech talks and breakout sessions. Key among the speakers will be Estelle Akofio Sowah, Country Lead, Google Ghana, and Nelson Mattos, the Vice President of EMEA Product Management and Engineering for Google.
Highlights of the first day will includean advanced training for specialist developers on Google App Engine and Android. The second day will feature a showcase of developers who developed creative solutions using Google tools and platforms.

Tech Talk: Entrepreneurship
A talk on the theme 'Entrepreneurship and and the blend of Social Media'. It will take the *barcamp style so to involve participants. Its purposely designed for final year students, to enable them know what's ahead of them after school. On the Social media part, an insight will be given on Google+, usage and benefits: individual, group and institutes, Twitter and LinkedIn among others. It's really going to be a fun-learning session.

Barcamp Cape Coast 2011
BarCamp Cape Coast 2011 is a networking event to bring people together for a day of discussion, demos and dialogue about Cape Coast, Ghana and beyond. It hopes to assemble Cape Coast stakeholders to network, build a supportive entreprising community and partner to build together. BarCamp Cape Coast 2011 will take place on Saturday November 12, 2011 at the New Lecture Theatre at the University of Cape Coast in Cape Coast, Ghana. The theme is “Harnessing IT education for local innovation and tourism development”. BarCamp Cape Coast ’11 is a FREE event for anyone who is interested in using his/her skills, talent, and resources to benefit Cape Coast, Ghana and Africa as a whole.The BarCamp Ghana team has successfully organized seven BarCamps in Ghana. Barcamp Ghana is a project being run by the GhanaThink Foundation, an NGO based both in Ghana and the USA. A BarCamp is a user-generated conference (or unconference). Barcamp Cape Coast 2011 will be organized in conjunction with the University of Cape Coast (UCC) Google Technology Users Group (GTUG). By partnering with the technology group, this Barcamp will focus on creating more awareness about the uses of technology and build knowledge on how to foster innovation in and around Cape Coast and increase visibility through tourism and online content creation. The Barcamp will feature multiple sessions about web tools and products, entrepreneurship driven sessions as well as breakout sessions on topics relevant to the Central region and beyond. Like all Barcamps, there will be user-generated sessions and discussions where attendees get to set the agenda and topics for the day. Local experts will share knowledge on different technologies and successful entrepreneurs and innovators will share their stories to serve as models for participants.
